Our Facility
Our school building has a certain character that warms the heart. Our school has been a part of the Meriden community since 1915. The gymnasium and cafeteria are more recent additions that currently host a number of school and local events. Students have the opportunity to buy hot lunch every day. There is also an a la cart selection for students.
We play different games every day that we have gym. We also have a great gym teacher. – Grade 6 student

Our classrooms are being integrated with smart board technology as part of a program of ongoing improvements. To date, almost all of our classrooms have interactive smart boards.
Our computer lab has recently been upgraded with new laptops for all of the students to use as part of the technology program. Wireless internet is also available throughout the school. Click here to read the Meriden Patch story about our technology program.

Our Learning Environment
St. Stanislaus provides a friendly, relaxed atmosphere of learning for your child. Your child enters a community of learners that supports and nurtures holistic growth of mind, body, and soul. Our curriculum integrates each of these aspects into your child’s day at school.

Our Proven Results
Catholic schools like St. Stanislaus are renowned for academic excellence. Students in Catholic schools consistently score in the top third on the Iowa Standard Test, a standardized achievement test that is given to students in grades three through seven. The students at St. Stanislaus School consistently score high.
If a student needs additional help, resources are available from a qualified team of teachers who provide both remedial and enrichment resources. St. Stanislaus School participates in the Title I program.
Our school has a safety plan in place in order to respond to possible emergencies in an effective manner. We have regular in-service training for faculty and staff on their roles should an emergency occur. Fire drills are conducted throughout the year. Members of the local Fire and Police departments visit our classrooms to instruct students on safety.
