Athletics
St. Stanislaus School has a variety of options for sports. The athletic committe is dedicated to keeping with the tradition of these sports.
Varsity soccer is offered to St. Stanislaus students in grade 6th through 8th. Home games are currently played weekdays at 3:30pm at MidState Medical Center field. The St. Stanislaus soccer season runs from September through November.
There are several options as it relates to basketball for our students.
- Boys and Girls Varsity. The Varsity league is offered to both girls and boys of St. Stanislaus school in grades 6 through 8.
- Boys and Girls Junior Varsity. The Jr. Varsity league is offered to both girls and boys of St. Stanislaus school in grades 4 and 5.
- Ben Nessing. The Ben Nessing League is offered to both girls and boys of all three Meriden Catholic schools in grades 1 through 5. This league provides the children with a chance to learn the game, to develop team skills and to practice sportsmanship. All games in this league are played in the St. Stanislaus Gym.
St. Stanislaus School also hosts the Turkey Madness Basketball Tournament each year. This tournament is open to Catholic school varisty boys and girls teams throughout Connecticut. The tournament has been running continuously for over 25 years under various names.
The cheerleading team learns basic chants, cheers, and tumbling. They attend home basketball games and cheer at some school events. They also march in the Daffodil Parade
