REMINDER: Please don’t park your car in the two reserved parking spots in the Saint Stanislaus School  parking lot. These spots were purchased by families through our school auction. The winners are to have access to these spots every weekday during school and after school hours. The Kogut family are to have access to the upper spot and the Jachym family are to have access to the lower spot. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Come to dinner at Jake’s Wayback Burgers (893 East Main Street) and earn a Free Jean Day Pass.  This Thursday, April 24th, from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00, Jake’s will donate a percentage of all sales to the 7th grade fundraising efforts to benefit the St. Stanislaus 8th Grade dinner. Jean Day passes will be handed out to ALL St. Stanislaus students that come to dine at Jake’s that evening.

Plant Sale orders are due April 24th and will be ready for pickup May 9th. Contact Dawn McCarthy, Madma68@yahoo.com, for more information.

Show your school pride and march in the Daffodil Parade this Saturday (April 26th).  Marchers will need to arrive at the Sears Parking Garage by 10:15 a.m. where they will be shuttled by bus to the staging area.  Parents are welcome to join their children in the parade.  Pre-K through Grade 2 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Specific drop off and pick up details will be emailed to those who are signed up on Friday.

Volunteers are needed for the St. Stanislaus Tent at the Daffodil Festival this weekend!  If you can help out Friday evening setup,Saturday or Sunday, please sign up soon so the St. Stanislaus tent organizers can be certain there is enough coverage.

Spring Cleaning?  Clean out those closets and bag up your unwanted wearable clothing, shoes (bag separately please), belts, purses, linens, stuffed animals and toys for the Spring Clothing Drive May 2 – 5.  Volunteers will be needed for Saturday and Sunday . The Sunshine Club is also having a tag sale from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on May 2nd.  Any treasures you wish to donate may be dropped off in the Parish Community Center on Friday May 2nd from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. 

May 3rd, the Sunshine Club is holding a tag sale and bake sale in the Community Center from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  and St. Stanislaus School is having the Spring Clothing Drive.  Stop by and drop off your used clothing to the Clothing Drive, and then drop by the Community Center tag sale and find something new to you.  Tag sale items can also be dropped off/donated on Friday May 2nd from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.    See the Spring Clothing Collection Flyer attached.

Each family is required to be a member of the Home and School Association.  As outlined in the Home and School Association Handbook, as a member, each family is expected to pay $20.00 annual membership dues, and perform twenty eight (28) hours of volunteer time benefiting the School, also known as Banked Hours.  If the family chooses, they will have the option to buy out and pay $300.00 ($20.00 annual dues and $280.00 volunteer buyout), rather than volunteer hours.  Unpaid dues and banked hours shall be added to the cost of tuition for the following year.”

Parent(s) and Guardians(s): The Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools will award to St. Stanislaus School Students  5(five) $400 scholarships on the basis of financial need and academic excellence for the 2014-2015 school year.  Interested families can obtain a copy of the application from the school office. All applications must be submitted to the school office no later than April 28, 2014.

Recipients of this scholarship will be made by Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools Scholarship Committee. 

If you are a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and have already received 3 books of tickets through the mail, we ask you to sell or purchase the books sent through the school first and if you are unable to purchase or sell any of the others to return them to the church.

Please send your raffle returns to Mrs. Oberg.  She will be recording them as they come in.

Middle School – 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Student Dance/Game Night thisFRIDAY, APRIL 11th, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Pizza, snacks & drinks for $10.00.  Come listen to music, dance, or play board games with your friends from St. Stan’s, St. Joe’s, and Mt. Carmel.  Additional snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

Butter Lambs & breads will be available for pickup in the Community Center on April 17th 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Come March with St. Stanislaus (or ride the float) in the Meriden Daffodil Parade, Saturday, April 26th 2014. All marchers will receive a jean day pass.  More details to follow.

Crystal Ball Auction tickets are for sale in the school office, or by contacting your room rep.  Tickets are $30pp; $55 per couple; $250 per table of 10 and includes: Dinner, Live Auction, Silent Auction, Raffle, music & dancing.  Items to accommodate every purse are available.  Great girls night out, night with your neighbors, co-workers, friends or family.  Come join in the FUN raising FUNds!  All proceeds are for the kids!
